Antigua Guatemala

Antigua Guatemala offers something for all travelers. Antigua combines colonial history with an array of cultural activities including art galleries and exhibits, performing arts, films, forums, and cultural tourism in general.


Lake Atitlan

A beautiful volcanic lake in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. It is ringed by small towns, Panajachel is best known, and a good entry point, but more off the beaten track are San Pedro La Laguna or the village of San Marcos.



Tikal, located in the north of the Petén region of Guatemala, was a major Maya city which flourished between 300 and 850 CE. The city, known to the Maya themselves as Mutul, is one of the greatest in Mesoamerica.

Day 1

Arrival Day

Arrive at Guatemala City, our representative will meet you at the airport, we will drive you directly to Antigua Guatemala, evening at leisure, overnight at Antigua.

Day 2

Antigua to Chichicastenango

In the morning, we will explore this beautiful colonial town, nestled in a valley surrounded by the peaks of three towering volcanoes. Over time, Antigua Guatemala became the most important city in Central America, adorned with monasteries, churches and other monuments built in the Spanish Colonial architectural style; we will have a chance to see both the restored buildings as well as those left as ruins, among the intricate buildings and interesting museums to be visited on the tour are the ornate La Merced church, the ruins of the Capuchinas convent and the San Francisco Cathedral; in the afternoon, you will be transferred to Chichicastenango for overnight.

Day 3

Chichicastenango to Panajachel

We will visit the Chichicastenango Indian market, reputedly the largest outdoor market in Central America, which attracts buyers and sellers from near and far every Thursday and Sunday. A great variety of handicraft and souvenirs are for sale here, from colorful Mayan fabrics and ceremonial masks to genuine leather goods, jewellery and accessories, in the afternoon you will be transferred to Panajachel, Lake Atitlan, evening free, overnight at Panajachel.

Day 4

Panajachel to Guatemala City

In the morning, we will have a boat tour on Lake Atitlan and visit the communities along the shore like Santiago de Atitlan, were we will find a Quiche Indian population that descend from the Mayas and walk around this colonial towns, in the afternoon, you will be transferred to Guatemala City for overnight.

Day 5

Guatemala City

Today we will enjoy a tour of the city, starting at the Metropolitan Cathedral, the city's main church. It has stood the test of time, having been completed in 1867, and has survived numerous earthquakes, then we will drive to the Guatemala Relief Map, an iconic scale map of the whole country, we will visit the National Palace of Guatemala, the symbol of the city and the President's headquarters; rest of the day is free, overnight at Guatemala City.

Day 6

Guatemala City to Flores

At 5:00 AM, transfer to the airport to catch the morning flight to Flores departing at 6:30 AM and arriving at 7:40 AM, the tour continues with a one-hour drive to the Maya Ruins of Tikal. During its heyday 700 AD, Tikal was the capital of a vast Mayan empire. Today, the site is one of Guatemala's premier tourist attractions. Its unspoiled jungle setting makes it special for discerning travelers, particularly Archaeologists, Naturalists and bird watchers. Mid-afternoon we will head back to Flores for overnight.

Day 7

Flores to Guatemala City

Experience a close encounter with Guatemala’s wildlife on this 4-hour back-to-nature tour from Flores. Spend time exploring the lush surrounds of the Petén Itza lake, one of the largest in Guatemala, then take in the views from the Mirador Canek lookout and a stop in San Miguel village; later we will take you to the airport to head back to Guatemala City for overnight, departing at 6:20 PM and arriving at 7:20 PM.

Departure Day

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport to catch your international departure flight.
