San Salvador

Surrounded by green-tipped volcanoes, San Salvador is handsome for a Central American capital city. Its leafy suburbs are pleasant to explore on foot, and its galleries and museums stand out.


Cerro Verde

The Cerro Verde has spectacular viewpoints from which you can admire the majesty of the volcanoes Izalco and Santa Ana (Ilamatepeq) and the Lake Coatepeque, which is a very nice spot to have lunch and relax.

Day 1

Arrival Day

Arrive at San Salvador, El Salvador, airport pick up and transfer to your hotel, overnight at San Salvador.

Day 2

San Salvador

Today, we will explore the capital city of El Salvador, San Salvador, driving through residential and commercial areas as well as the historical district, we will first have a guided visit the David Guzman Museum of Anthropology and drive by the Divino Salvador del Mundo monument at Plaza Las Americas. Later we will enjoy a sweeping view of the city from the mirador at Planes de Renderos. Lunch at local restaurant, In the afternoon, we will visit the maya ruins of Tazumal and Ceren. Joya de Ceren, declared a world heritage by UNESCO in 1993 where a showcase of intact remains of a maya site can be observed, kept frozen in time by a volcanic eruption. late afternoon return to San Salvador, evening free.

Day 3


After breakfast, we are on our way to Northern El Salvador to visit the colonial town of Suchitoto, we will have a chance to explore the cobble stone streets, admire the old Spanish style houses and building and visit the church of Santa Lucia, later, we will drive to Suchitlan lake, the largest body of water in El Salvador, for a scenic boat tour before we return to San Salvador mid-afternoon, evening at leisure.

Day 4

Cerro Verde & Izalco

Departing at 8:00 AM, today, we will visit Cerro Verde National Park and Izalco Volcano, nestled between three majestic volcanoes, it features a dense jungle teeming with exotic plant and animal life; it is located at 2,030 meters above sea level, in the western part of the country, between the departments of Santa Ana and Sonsonate, to reach the park we will drive one hour from San Salvador, upon arrival we will hike about 1 hour 30 minutes inside the park. Finally, later, we will drive to Lake Coatepeque, which sits inside a crater formed by the collapse of two volcanic cones, here we will have lunch and enjoy the spectacular view, we will return to San Salvador midafternoon.

Departure Day

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport.
